About the Honey

Honey Source celebrates honey from all over the UK, and we’re proud to have our friends at Woldgate Honey championing the North East!

Like the Yorkshire Moorlands from which it comes, Woldgate is best known for its Heather honey. The moors play a pretty prominent role in its production, too. They’re moved here come July until mid-September when the heather flowers make the moors bloom purple, and the honey is harvested.

A range of yummy Yorkshire honey

Woldgate Honey isn’t a one trick pony though, and aside from their Heather Honey they produce a range of honeys from multiple floral sources – mainly agricultural crops like Field Bean and Rapeseed, depending on the season, but also Lime trees and the thousands of acres of wild flower field margins.
